You’re going to turn in a total of six photos for this assignment.
Choose your first subject and shoot a vertical, frame-filling mug shot in bright, midday sun (between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.). Shoot one at 28 mm, then back up and shoot the second with the same composition at 75 mm.
Choose your second subject and repeat, but in the shade of a building or larger tree (or on an overcast day). The third subject is to be shot alongside a window that does not have direct sunlight streaming through it.
You need to shoot tight – the top of the frame should be just above their hair, the bottom at the top of their shoulders.
For each, you’ll need their full name, age, major (or job title), hometown and one form of contact information.
We’ll process these images in class on Wednesday and then continue our conversations on Photo Mechanic and into Photoshop.
