Two feature photos, due on the server by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 25.
Look for a great moment, a telling slice-of-life image that speaks to what living, studying or working on the UGA campus (or your hometown or spring break destination) is like in 2011. Light matters: use a different type of light in each photo (hard, soft or diffused). Think about directionality, too.
Because you want to preserve the color of light, you’ll need to take your camera off of the automatic white balance setting. To do this, press the WB button on the back and then choose the type of light you’re shooting under – daylight, cloudy, shade, etc. This will vastly improve the accuracy of your color.
If you didn’t get a chance to look through it, I have a loaner copy of Dave LaBelle’s Great Picture Hunt 2 that you can borrow after break. Or, you could go buy it yourself – worth every penny.
