The Tolerance for Courageous Sucking

I mentioned Merlin Mann’s Photography and the Tolerance for Courageous Sucking post on the first day of class and it is time to start reading and thinking about it. (There’s a touch of strong language in there, I apologize in advance if it offends, but the overall message is well worth it.)

We are still a little behind, but I’m hoping to have us back on schedule by the end of class on Monday. Which means … we may issue cameras on Wednesday.

To help along with that, why don’t you take another look at the exposure parts of the McNally book. We’ll go over shutter speeds, apertures and ISOs in class, but the more you look at that, the more sense it will (hopefully) make.

One other note … I have almost everyone’s WordPress.com account email, stressing the almost. If you haven’t done that, I need it by Sunday night. If you have yours, please go into your settings and make sure you’re displaying your name correctly – first and last. When you start making posts, that will be on there.
